Historic and Picturesque Duluth-Superior Area

Plan now for the HCCA National Tour along the shores of Lake Superior, the Duluth-Superior harbor and the rural byways of northwestern Wisconsin and northeastern Minnesota. Headquartered on an island in the bay with a 250 slip marina.

Tour on quiet rural roads along lakes, streams and through forests. Visit four State Parks, all with waterfalls. Lunch by a 165 foot waterfall, also on the rugged north shore of Lake Superior and at a rustic lodge deep in the woods on a quiet lake. Tour Duluth, Minnesota, with its world-class Railroad museum, take a vintage train ride, visit a lumber and mining baron’s mansion, a 600 foot steamship and Duluth’s iconic aerial lift bridge. End the day with luxurious dining while enjoying a scenic cruise through one of the world’s biggest natural harbors.

Tour Lake Superior’s rugged North
Shore with its rocky cliffs on the world’s largest freshwater lake. Drive Duluth’s scenic Skyline Parkway with panoramic views, 800 feet above the cities.

Besides all this, within walking distance of the hotel, there is a museum in a restored lumber baron’s mansion, a memorial to Richard Bong, WWII’s ace of aces with his restored P-38 fighter plane and a 19th Century “laker” steamer.

An
Alternate Hobby Show will be held on Thursday in one of the convention rooms. Members are encouraged to bring “show and tell” times from their hobbies, other than the antique cars. Tables will be supplied for your display. If you collect, build or restore interesting items, bring them along and share your “alternate hobby.”
